Making Democracy Work Award Event

Lorain Brault to Receive League of Women Voters Making Democracy Work Award!

We are proud to announce that Lorain Brault has been selected as the winner of our first Annual League of Women Voters' Making Democracy Work Award. The award honors a community member who has been a leader and actively engaged in hands-on work to keep Long Beach a strong and vibrant place to live. Lori was selected from a diverse pool of nominees from the community. Four runners-up will also be recognized at the awards ceremony: Patricia Ann Benoit, Jill Hill, Jo Rosen and Rev. Ginny Wagener. Friends, family and associates of the honorees are invited to the Award ceremony and reception, as well as the Press, members of the public and friends of the League.
